Ms Marvel's trailer has dropped and it's bonkers!

Marvel Studios has released the first official Ms Marvel trailer, transporting us to the fantastic world of Kamala Khan, played by Iman Vellani.

The show will premiere on Disney Plus and star the first Muslim American superhero. We'll see this huge fan of Captain Marvel face challenges at school until her dreams come true, and she actually gains superpowers.

Before she joins Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) on the big screen in The Marvels, the Disney+ show will introduce us to Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) and her origin as Ms Marvel.

Not surprisingly, the on-screen version of Ms Marvel's abilities appears to be more closely aligned with Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau, who has yet to be given an official Marvel Cinematic Universe moniker.

We see or Ms Marvel navigating her high school life and new super powers as The Weeknd's Blinding Lights plays in the background.

The synopsis provided by Disney Plus for Ms Marvel's official trailer analysis reads:

"Marvel Studios' Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega-fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels invisible both at home and at school—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she's always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"

The official Ms Marvel trailer has a more lighthearted tone, best suited to Kamala Khan's dreamy personality. It implies that her journey will be difficult once as she enters the world of superheroes.

Ms Marvel, created by Bisha K. Ali and directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah of Bad Boys for Life, will premiere on Disney Plus on June 8, 2022.
