Noida: Noida Authority's plantation drive under the banner of the Vrihad Vriksharopan program is in full swing. The biggest plantation drive was organized at the developing Vedvan park in sector 78 where 25,000 plants were planted. Moreover, the Authority along with the residents successfully planted around 2,66,000 trees in 62 spots across Noida on July 5, 2022.
The residents of sector-78 also took part in the program and are happy with the development of this park. Ranjan Samantaray, a resident of Antariksh Golfview 2, sector 78, Noida, says, "We are very happy with the development of Vedvan park in sector 78. We are eagerly waiting for these saplings to grow into trees. We must give a green Earth to our children."
As gathered, the Vedvan park is being developed to give insight into the Hindu mythology texts namely- Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda. All information including the speciality of each Vedas, messages, and their importance will be found in the Vedvan park. Most of the plants mentioned in the Vedas would be planted here, with information about their benefits.
Ranjan says, "Vedvan park is going to be the most unique park in UP. It will be spread over 12 acres area. The most exciting thing about Vedvan park is that it would be a way for the younger generation to understand the four Vedas."
The plantation drive at Vedvan park was carried out in the presence of MP Mahesh Sharma, MLA Pankaj Singh, Nodal Officer of the district nominated by the government Narendra Bhushan, Principal Secretary of the Public Works Department, and the Noida Chief Executive Officer Ritu Maheshwari. Gautam Buddha Nagar DM Suhas LY was also present.
