Jaipuria Sunrise Greens: Residents await construction of the unpaved road

Ghaziabad: The residents of the Jaipuria Sunrise Greens, a residential society in Ghaziabad, are riled with the unpaved road in front of their society and have been pleading the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) to build a 45 metre wide road in front of their society.

According to the residents, the unpaved road leads to dust pollution as a lot of traffic moves in that area. Moreover, whenever it rains, the unpaved road turns into mud, making the area accident prone. The residents further complain that road was promised by the builder but that promise wasn't kept.

Residents claim that even after repeated complains, the builder has not done anything about the issue. Residents also allege that the GDA awarded the society a completion certificate despite the fact that the said road wasn't constructed. However, neither the builder nor the GDA is taking responsibility for constructing the road, which is riddled with potholes.

Prashant Chaudhary, a resident from Japuria Sunrise Green Society, says "I got a reply from the junior engineer of GDA that they are not responsible for this and that this site is not part of the GDA's plan. Work will most likely be completed by either the society's developer or now this matter can be handled by the Municipal Corporation".

According to Anurag Modi, another resident of the society, "No one is willing to take responsibility for this road. Why is it that higher authorities always blame each other instead of working on the actual issue?"
