In the fast-paced life of today with work pressure and stress levels, we tend to forget to listen to our body requirements. Workout gives us time to reconnect with ourselves. Many would agree that a running session, yoga, or even a small walk in the green space gives us a sense of clarity.

Psychologist Shipra Lamba points out that mental health and physical health go hand in hand. "Physical exercise releases endorphins and dopamine known as happy hormones, which helps our brain relax, rejuvenate and feel great," says Shipra. She further adds "Working out daily can alleviate the symptoms of low self-esteem and social withdrawal. It not only makes us physically fit but also helps us to control our mind and guide it in the right direction."

Studies reveal that regular exercise can bring a positive impact on our mental health and help us to deal with anxiety, depression and ADHD. According to a study by National Center for Biotechnology Information Website, patients suffering from schizophrenia who participated in a 3-month physical conditioning program showed increased perceived energy levels, exercise tolerance, and reduced blood pressure levels. The survey told us about how thirty minutes of exercise of moderate intensity can help us, even a brisk walk for 3 days a week is very effective and can help us achieve many benefits.

The best part is that you don't have to force yourself to work out for a continuous 30 minutes session to get the health benefits. You can break it into 3 sessions of 10 minutes sessions with a short break. Be healthy and be fit!
