Noida: Loaded with dahi and chutney, a sweet and sour serving of love

Noida: There is one love more iconic than that of Romeo Juliet or Heer Ranjha, that's the love North Indians have for their chaats. From grandevents such as weddings to something as simple as an evening stroll, everything feels incomplete without a serving of chaat. It was one such evening stroll that led me to arguably one of the best chaat stalls in Noida.

S.K. Chaat Bhandar's Bhalla Papdi

In the market of Sector 50 is the S.K. Chaat Bhandar. Run by Avanish Kumar and his two brothers, the stall has been in the market for almost seven years now and hosts a large crowd almost every single day. One can have a variety of chaats at this place, such as Dahi Gol Gappe, Dahi Bhalle, Panipuri, Papdi chat, Aloo Tikki Chat, Balle Papdi, and Matar golgappe.

"Around 800 to 1000 people come to eat our Dahi Bhallas, Dahi gollgappe, chat papri, Tikki chat and more every single day" says, Avanish while preparing a plate of their famous dahi gol gappe.

The thing that makes this stall special is that you can get your chaat customised as per your taste. No no, not just customising the amount of curd or chutney, even the spices in their chaat will be as per your liking. Also, another thing which adds to their wow factor is the hygiene they maintain while preparing any of their food item.

While talking about what people love to have the most at their stall, Avanish says, "Our main food attraction is the Dahi golgappe, for which people visit our shop from far away places. Chat is something that no one can resist. Our father also used to sell chat and we brothers are continuing this legacy of our family."

One spoonful of their chaat is testament to why they are so popular. Their dahi bhalle, another popular item after dahi gol gappe, come with super soft bhalle, loaded with thick and creamy dahi along with tamarind and green chutney. Not just this, it is further garnished with chilli powder, chaat masala and a julienne beetroot. As soon as you take one bite of it, you just can't resist yourself from finishing it all.

The shop opens every day at 6 pm at the sector-50  market near the main road, visit it soon if you haven't.
