GreNo West: The residents of Spring Meadows, Techzone 4 celebrated the 75 years of independence of India with zeal and zest. They started their celebrations in the evening of August 14, 2022 by lighting 1100 lamps in memory of the brave immortal martyrs of the country.

The map of India was drawn with the lamps and Jai Hind was written on it with the salutation of 'Maa Tujhe Salaam'. More than 500 families of Spring Meadows participated to make this a success. They also observed silence for the martyred soldiers and freedom fighters.

On the morning of the Independence Day, the residents of Spring Meadows enthusiastically hoisted the flag. The domestic help and labourers working in the society were also a part of the celebration. This was followed by the national anthem. After that, tricolours were distributed along with sweets to the children and the elders as well.

Vikas Katiyar, a resident of Spring Meadows says, “It was a very beautiful celebration, it became more beautiful because more people could be a part of it. I wish everyone a happy Independene Day.”
