The 75th Independence day was celebrated with tremendous zeal throughout Greater Noida West. This time there was a different level of patriotism as residents marked Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The day-long celebration saw flag hoisting, parades and cultural programs in many societies, NGOs and public offices. Residents mounted the tricolour on flats, houses, markets, vehicles etc.

Several residents of the society came together for a flag hoisting performed by senior citizens of the society. Slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram' were chanted throughout. As gathered, competitions were organized for children such as fancy dress, folk songs accompanied, guitar and harmonium. The elderly and youth also recited poems and patriotic songs. The day ended with the prize distribution and refreshments.

Rahul Garg, a resident says, “Today's program was special in every sense, where residents of all age groups from the society participated enthusiastically."

Nikki Singh, Chhabi Yadav, Sarita Mahto, Neeti Trehan, Vartika Mehra, Archana Srivastava and Smita and the maintenance department played an important role in making the event successful.

A ceremony was organized to mark the 75th Independence Day for children. The event began with flag hoisting by the chief guest Amit Dubey, a cybercrime expert and Gram Pradhan Vinod Khari. It was followed by a cultural program.

Chaya Sharma, Founder and Director of Ushakiran NGO say, “Our chief guest gave a motivational speech which gave an insight on how to be focused in life and how to believe in oneself. He also gifted books to the children from our library."

Jagat Farms, Greater Noida


Flags were distributed at Jagat Farm in Greater Noida for the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration. A large number of people participated. Slogans were also raised. Sardar Manjit Singh Harendra Bhati Deepak Rohtas Haroon Saifi Prem Chandel, Imran Khan, Suraj, and Rajesh Singh participated in the event.

Harinder Bhati, President, District Skating Federation says, "A skating rally was organized by the District Skating Federation to commemorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. It feels great to get the opportunity to launch the rally. It was concluded at Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium, where the children were encouraged by giving certificates."

Nirala Greenshire, Greater Noida West


Hundreds of residents became a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrated at the society. A cultural program was organized by Nirala Greenshire with professional artists performing. Moreover, children from society sang patriotic songs and played instruments. Hundreds of people in the society were present on this occasion.

The Golden Palm, sector 168


Dipendra Chaudhary, AOA President of The Golden Palm Society organised a tiranga yatra, along with the flag hoisting at sector 168. A  cultural event Jashan-e-Azadi was organised in the evening.

Cherry county, Greater Noida West


Residents including kids, women and senior citizens participated and celebrated the day with great pomp. Slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai echoed everywhere in society.

Himalaya Pride, Greater Noida West


Residents of Himalaya Pride celebrated Independence day with music, dance and many other cultural activities. The ladies' group of this society also organised langar. The day was packed with back-to-back events.

DD RWA, children's park, Sector 51


A flag hoisting was done by DD RWA, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh Federation at Children's Garden, Sector 51 on the occasion. Flag hoisting was done by NP Singh, President, DD RWA and AN Dhawan, Senior Advisor. All members Sanjiv Kumar, Senior VP, Rajiv Kumar, VP, Anil Singh, Anjali Sachdeva, Brajesh Chauhan, Mrityunjay Tiwari and many other members were present.
