The annual Hindu festival of Janmashtami was a grand event in Greater Noida West. Society residents came together to celebrate the birth of lord Krishna. The premises were decked up in blue and green hues and Dahi Handi with other cultural programs were organized.

The Janmashtami celebrations began on the 18th and were celebrated with full charm on August 19 as well. Here is what happened in residential societies-

Supertech Ecovillage 1


The residents of Supertech Ecovillage 1 organised a rath yatra, with a huge crowd, and a wonderful Jhaaki of Lord Krishna. Dinesh Pandit Ji, with a whole team of musicians, sang beautiful Radha Krishnas’ bhajans.

Supertech Ecovillage 2


This society witnessed a 2-day function and celebrations. Kids wore the dresses of Hanuman Ji, Kali Devi along with Radha Krishna and they took the round of the whole society. All the towers of the society were decorated with marigold flowers. Kids also staged a drama on the themes of Mahabharata.

Havelia Valencia Homes

Children performed as Radha Krishna, followed by the bhajan sandhya, with the Maha Arti and the Mahabhog. Certificates were also distributed to all the participating children by the senior citizens of the society.

Devika Gold Homes

Krishna Janmotsav was celebrated with pomp and show at Devika Gold Homes. Residents organized cultural programs where women presented soulful performances. Small children were dressed as Radha Krishna. An elaborate jhaanki was also decorated. Interestingly, a cave was also constructed to reach the temple, where cold water flowed. At 12, all residents celebrated Krishna's birth.

Nirala Estate

Janmashtami saw a happy gathering on the temple premises. A huge crowd enjoyed the ceremonies by singing and dancing. Women of the society sang bhajans. Moreover, a Dahi handi program and maha aarti were organized too.

French Apartments


Small kids dressed up as Radha Krishna won everyone's hearts. Kids also performed dances and took part in the Maha Raas skit of Radha Krishna. The Meera bai act was also done followed by the Dahi handi program and finally, women enjoyed Dandiya. Maha arti and maha Prasad was also done.

Stellar Jeevan


Everyone enjoyed the Dahi handi, a flute presentation by the artists, followed by the cultural night and celebration of Krishna's birth at midnight.

The residents of A tower on 6th avenue celebrated Janmashmti with great zeal. The Mahila Kirtan Mandali, decorated the Krishna Darbar and sang devotional songs and also danced to the divine tunes. They also organized a Dahi handi program, did Maha aarti together and enjoyed the Maha Prasadam.
