Delhi: The Covid situation in Delhi seems to be improving as the average Covid cases recorded in a day in the last six days is 87. The positivity rate has also been below 1%, except on September 21, when the positivity rate was 1.14% and on September 25, when the positivity rate was 1.10%. A total of two Covid deaths have been recorded in Delhi in the last six days, one on September 20, 2022, and another on September 23, 2022.
On September 25, 2022, 75 Covid cases were recorded, with a positivity rate of 1.10% and zero death. These figures hint that Covid in Delhi is under control, which calls for relief in Covid-induced rules such as the compulsion to wear masks. These figures also come as an encouragement for the people of Delhi to celebrate the upcoming festive season with enthusiasm.
Ishita Sharma, a resident of Dwarka sector 12 says, "It seems the fear of Covid among the general public has reduced a lot. It is a common sight to see people moving about without facial masks. I have noticed that even the staff of most departmental stores in Dwarka have stopped wearing masks. It is high time that mask-related compulsions and fines are removed. I think after a long wait this time we will have a Covid-free festival in a real sense."
