Victory One Amara- Residents agitated after the alleged attack on senior citizen

Greater Noida: The residents of Victory One Amara society are agitated after the alleged attack on a senior citizen of the society on October 13, 2022. To display their anger, residents also demonstrated outside the Cherry County police chowki. The society residents allege that they are suffering from a lack of basic amenities for the past 2 years such as a lack of security and incomplete construction of towers in the society.

As gathered, the attack on the senior citizen, who is a resident of Tower A of Victory 1 Amara and retired from the Air force, took place when he went to complain about the overflowing water from the tank to the maintenance staff which allegedly enters the house if not closed manually.

Some residents also allege that this is not the first incident when the builder's staff has misbehaved with a resident. They claim that the builder has tried to intimidate residents several times in the past.

Moreover, according to them, the builder is charging an arbitrary maintenance fee but the problems of water, electricity and lift persist. They further complain that despite regular complaints to the Greater Noida Authority, no action has been taken by them.

A resident of the society on the condition of anonymity says, "The residents have been raising the issue of lack of basic amenities for the past 2 years. There is no security in society. Moreover, residents are forced to live in an under-construction society. The residents want the builder to complete the construction soon, and make security provisions."
