Dwarka: In yet another case, stormwater drain cover collapsed on Road Number 224 (Dabri-Gurgaon Road) just opposite Harsukh Society, plot 4, Sector 7, Dwarka on Monday, December 19, 2022. Th collapse happened hardly 10 m away from the bus stand. This is the main road for not only entering Dwarka sectors but also Gurugram and West Delhi. Such collapse has made the road dangerous for the commuters in the area especially during nights when there is no light.
It is not the only place in Dwarka where drain cover has caved in. Just 200 meters away from where this recent collapse happened, on Road number 201, just behind Bus Stand of Sector 1, opposite Rashi Society of plot no. 3, Sector 7, a cover was collapsed similarly a month ago.

If one just takes a round of Dwarka roads, one can find dozens of open manholes and damaged foot paths. Several people have been highlighting this issue through social media, Twitter, various Govt Apps and letters to various agencies but everything goes in vain. Hope DDA, under whose jurisdiction it falls, will carry out a thorough survey of the area and take necessary preventive measure so that precious human lives are saved.
