Noida: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is trying to make sure that the residential and industrial areas under its control have all kinds of transportation options. Soon, along with the metro, these areas will have pod taxis, trams, and city buses. The bus will be ready soon.
Pod taxis are car-sized vehicles that travel on steel tracks. This taxi does not have a driver. This will be the country’s first pod taxi, operating in Noida. It will operate between Noida Airport and Film City. The 14.6-kilometer route is scheduled to contain 12 stops. Officials say that pod taxis, the metro, trams, and city buses will run in residential and industrial areas.
Each sector block will be connected by a city bus service, and trams will run on every 30-meter-wide road. Detailed Project Report (DPR) has thought about putting pod taxis in residential areas as well as film cities and industrial zones. People will be able to go to their destinations at a lower cost and with greater convenience as a result of this.
The Authority’s DPR for building the Metro Corridor from Noida Airport to Delhi Railway Station has been completed, according to Authority officials. This corridor will be approximately 77 kilometers long. A survey is now being conducted for the Aqua and Blue Line metro corridors. The next step will be to begin the process.
