Noida: Some rules and regulations will be severely applied on Valentine’s Day in order to maintain order and peace all over Noida and Greater Noida zone. The Police Commisionarate has made it very clear that Section 144 will be extended due to urgent circumstances and it will unquestionably remain in force in the Gautama Budh Nagar district till 28th February, 2023. It has been made very clear that law and order must be followed by the citizens and violation of rules should not be tolerated. Officials confirmed that strict actions will be taken against persons who try to violate the rules in the district. Police force will maintain a strict vigil in the district on February 14th, Valentine's Day.

This order was issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police for Law and Order Mr.Anil Kumar Yadav in Gautam Budh Nagar. Announcing the order, Anil Kumar Yadav announced that Section 144 will remain in force from 5th February to 28th of February in the district. Meanwhile, 5th February, 2023 is Saint Ravidas Jayanti as well as the birthday of Hazrat Mohammad. This will be followed by Valentine's Day on February 14th and the sacred festival of Mahashivratri on February 18th.  On these days, the district is closely guarded by the police and Noida Police is continuing a close watch everywhere. As long as Section 144 remains in force in the district, more than five persons will not be allowed to gather in a group.

Some important rules must be followed:

  • No procession will be allowed in the city and there are strict restrictions on photography or flying a drone near Government offices or residences in the district.
  • Loud sounds and DJs will not be allowed to be played at religious places and clubs. If this rule gets violated then Noida Police will intervene.
  • No prayers will be allowed in public places. Strict actions will be taken against those who do so.
  • People are not allowed to walk around public places with a gun or knife. Commoners are not allowed to shoot in public places or elsewhere. Actions will be taken against those who try to violet this rule.
  • Consumption of alcohol and taking drugs in public places are also prohibited. In this case, Police will take immediate stern actions against the violators.
