State-of-the-Art Multi-Sport facilities coming up in Dwarka, Rohini, Narela

In what may boost the sports fraternity, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is coming up with sports facilities in Dwarka, Rohini and Narela.

The DDA’s Centre for Excellence for Wrestling, Boxing, Judo, Hockey, Football, Tennis and Shooting is being built in sector 8, sector 23 and sector 19 of Dwarka. All these projects are likely to be completed by the end of 2023. 

As per the DDA, the Centre for Excellence for Aquatics is coming up at Sector-33 Rohini, which is likely to be completed by the mid of 2024. Besides this, the Centre for Excellence for Athletics is coming up at Sector A-7 Narela. Sector 34 Rohini will also get another sports complex. 

A plan for an integrated Multi-Sports Arena is in the pipeline at Sector-19B Dwarka which is based on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) on PPP Mode. 

These mega projects, besides promoting sports in the city, will also contribute to the society at large by nurturing future champions and young talent of the nation.
