Noida Authority Launches Night-time Cleanliness Drive

The Noida Authority has announced a new cleanliness drive to improve the living conditions of the people in Noida. The initiative will now include night-time cleaning, and the authority has formed 10 teams to respond quickly to reports of garbage and dirt. They will also clean up areas on Sundays and wherever garbage is found.

The CEO of the Noida Authority, Ritu Maheshwari, recently chaired a meeting with the Public Health Department to discuss improving the cleaning system. At the meeting, it was decided that all sweepers would work in uniform and that dry-wet garbage would be disposed of properly. The new quick response teams will also work at night if there are reports of dirt in the area.

The CEO has instructed officials to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) and take action against those who dump domestic waste in open areas of the village. Additionally, the officials have been ordered to float a tender for washing vehicles with Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) water by March 31st. The cleaning staff has been directed to dispose of garbage properly after collecting it in bags. To ensure a clean environment, the CEO has instructed officials not to pile up waste within 500 meters of water bodies, keeping Swachh Survekshan 2023 in mind.

This new initiative is a positive step towards a cleaner and healthier Noida. By cleaning up the city at night and on Sundays, the Noida Authority is taking proactive steps to keep the city clean and tidy. With the support of the public, this initiative can make a significant difference in the living conditions of the people of Noida.
