Residents of Sadbhavna Apartments in Sector 22, Dwarka, seem to have their New Year wish fulfilled already! With a lot of repair and development work happening in the society, the place is all set for a new look.
Repairing and whitewashing of blocks and development of parks and green areas inside and outside the society are on in full swing. In fact, many are in their final stages.
The society is revamping its green areas with a variety of new plants
President of the society, Jyoti Prasad, confirmed, “The work in blocks A and D has been completed, and that for blocks B and C is still going on. Repair work has been completed, and now the whitewashing is being done.”
Work is also on to improve the society's green quotient. The central park is being developed and the existing green areas are being replenished with new varieties of flowering and non-flowering plants.
The society is also helping develop the DDA park just behind the premises. SS Mann, a member of the managing committee and vice-president of Sukh Dukh Ke Sathi, said, “Sukh Dukh Ke Sathi has volunteered to develop the DDA park as well. Our society has given away hundreds of plants to the park. We want our surroundings to be green, so we are not restricting our efforts to the society premises alone.”

Mann, who is also in-charge of the society’s horticulture, added with pride, “Last year, we planted about 200 saplings and now we will focus on maintenance. All the green areas of the society have been revamped. The change is visible from the front gate itself.”
