Residents of Ghaziabad’s Saviour Park Society call indefinite strike

Repeatedly ignored by the city administration and the builder, the AOA of Saviour Park Society Ghaziabad along with the residents held an indefinite strike from Friday at 7:00 am.

Kanchan Arora, Vice President of AOA Saviour Park Society, said, “We suffer a lot because of the stray dogs. AOA has complained several times to the concerned authorities but to no avail. Many children and the elderly have got injured because of stray dogs' menace.”

She further informed, “A resident named Archana Singh is responsible for all this. She feeds the stray dogs inside the society premises. She also abused the security person who tried to shoo the stray dogs away. She has also filed an FIR against four people in the society. Even after repeated complaints, neither the administration nor the authority has come forward to solve their issues. So we are left with no other option but to call a strike.

While talking to the team of CitySpidey, Sandeep Verma, a resident of Saviour Park Society informed us that every day the terror of stray dogs is increasing. Children, elders, and women all are feeling insecure.

He also informed us that the builder has sold the convenience shops of society by converting them into commercial shops. It has also restricted the entry as a result of which the residents have to exit the society to reach the shops. And above all, all these shopkeepers create a nuisance.

The primary demand of the residents is security. They said they will stand firm until their demands are fulfilled.

They also asked other residents to join the strike to wake up the “sleeping administration, police and builder”.
