Elevator Horror: Another Person Gets Stuck in Lift In Noida Area

Noida: In another horrific elevator failure incident in Noida, a woman was stuck in the lift of Assotech Windsor Court Society,  Sector-78, Noida on Monday morning. 

The woman immediately pressed the emergency button when she realised that the lift was not moving but to her woe, the emergency button too wasn't working. It was only after 15 minutes that she received a response when society residents rushed to rescue her as they heard the high-pitched yell. The matter was informed to the security personnel and the terrified lady was taken out of the lift safely.

Rani, the victim, who works as a domestic help informed that she was trapped on the 11th floor due to the power cut while going down. She could only scream in fear. 

Residents were informed that the emergency rescue system didn't work at that time. Pabitra Das, a resident, confirmed that the woman was stuck in the lift of IJ Tower. He also said that this incident happened due to non-maintenance of the lift and it threatened the overall security system of elevator service inside the society.

In the past couple of months, elevator failure incidents have increased in the Noida area. Most of the buildings do not follow elevator safety norms, putting the lives of daily users at risk.
