New sports Complex in Dwarka Sector 17 to start soon!

Dwarka: There is good news for the sports lovers and fitness enthusiasts of Dwarka as soon they will be able to avail the facilities of a new sports complex at Sector 17. The sports complex is almost ready to become operational and according to sources, it may start in a couple of months this year. As informed by one of the officials at the sports complex site the possibility of the sports complex becoming operational is from July 2023. Earlier DDA also announced officially that the sports complex would be operational this year.

As gathered, the new sports complex has facilities like open play areas, including a cricket field, a hockey cum football field, a lawn tennis court, a netball court, a basketball court, a volleyball court, a skating arena, and skate parks. There are other sports facilities like badminton, squash, boxing, aerobics, billiards, snooker, martial arts, and yoga in the indoor activities block.

According to DDA officials, there would be similar criteria for the membership of the Sports Complex at Sector 17 like other sports complexes under DDA in Delhi.  Apart from pay and play mode with daily reservation there would be a three-month membership as well. The membership fee will be comparable to the Siri Fort Sports Complex, Delhi.

Dwarka is emerging as a sports hub in the National Capital as many sports facilities are coming up in the sub-city and expected to be operational in 2023. DDA is developing  more sports complexes at Sector 8, 19, and 23 and a 18-hole golf course at Sector 24.
