Thanks to the RWA, entering the society is no longer the nightmare it used to be.
Residents of Sispal Vihar in Gurgaon are happy that they can finally enter the society without jolts and jerks.
Earlier, the surface of the road right at the gate was uneven and pothole-ridden. The gate is built over an open drain, which was not level with the road. There had been instances of the undercarriages of cars getting damaged while driving over it. It was also a threat to two-wheelers, which lost their balance. The combination of the bad road and the open drain caused vehicles to jerk when passing over it. The RWA spent Rs 1 lakh to get the repairs done and the work took two months to complete.
"Now that the road in the area has been repaired and the drain covered, people entering the society will have a smooth ride," said General SK Yadav, RWA president.
Adding to this, Naren K Patra, the estate manager, said, “The drain was a constant source of worry, as car wheels would often get stuck.”
