Under the leadership of Noida legislator Pankaj Singh, homebuyers of the NCR finally met UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on April 27 at Chief Minister's Secretariat, Lucknow. The meeting, held from 11 am to 11.45 am, was aattended by Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana, the industrial development secretary, and Amit Mohan Prasad, the CEO of Noida and Greater Noida authorities. 
 
Mahana apprised CM Yogi about the problems of homebuyers at the meeting. The CM assured him that their problems would be addressed on priority. The chief minister gave clear instructions to the officers so the problems could be properly diagnosed, and directed them to discuss the matter with the builders and come up with a solution. He also assured the proper implementation of RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Act) soon.
 
CM Yogi ordered immediate action against the builders who were not paying heed to the problems of homebuyers.  

 


 
The homebuyers for the past eight years have been trying to meet the builders to seek solutions to their problems. They now feel they have finally got the opportunity to express themselves. Buyers have also been meeting political leaders during the election campaigns. Noida legislator Pankaj Singh had promised buyers to take their problems to the chief minister, irrespective of the results.  
 
Abhishek Kumar, president of NEFOWA (Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association) and members Sumit Saxena, Indrish Kumar, Sunil Jalota and Sagar Chaudhari; Pramod Rawat and SD Mitson from JP WishTown; Rashish Purohit on behalf of NCR Buyers; Annu Khan from NEFOMA (Noida Extension Flat Owners & Members Association); and many other buyers were present at the meeting.

Homebuyers were pleased with the meeting and are hopeful that the newly appointed Authority officials would take action against dishonest builders.
