The new police chowki will have sectors 46, 49, 50 and 51 and the villages of Ghasola and Samaspur under its jurisdiction. “Public grievances will now be addressed better, and a more focused approach will be ensured,” said a police official.
Most of these sectors are not gated communities, so a dedicated police station had become a necessity for the area.
Speaking to City Spidey, Sunita Yadav, a resident of Blossoms in Sector 47, said, “A chowki in the sector will certainly mean more patrolling, and so we can hope that criminal activities will witness a dip.”
Another resident of Sector 50, Deepali Gupta, added, “We are really happy with this development. We now know that there’s a police station within reach, and they can address our issues more promptly.”
Residents also feel certain things, such as verification of documents, will become much easier now.
