The minister and other officials were acquainted with the status and possibility of the revival of the water body before the rains by members of the water body revival committee from Dwarka, such as Diwan Singh from Shaman Apartments, Sector 23, and SS Mann from Sadbhavna Apartments, Sector 22.

After knowing the status and the role of different agencies, such as the DDA, DJB, Public Works Department, flood and irrigation departments, in the revival of the water body, the water minister assured that he would look into the subject and do the needful for the water body’s revival.

Replying to a question by City Spidey, the water minister said, “I will call a meeting with the CEO of DJB and discuss the issue. I also have to check the legal aspect of the matter as the land is under the jurisdiction of DDA. But I will definitely do something for the revival of the water body.”

The activists associated with the water body’s revival campaign showed the minster the area around the water body in the sector. They also told him about the drainage system in the area and suggested that it should be looked into seriously so as to completely arrest rainwater in the area.

Yadav said, “We are determined to revive this water body and are making efforts in the direction.”

During the visit, residents who care about the environment such as Madhuri Varshney, resident of Ekta Apartments, Sector 3, and Munish Kundra, resident of Brahma Apartments, Sector 7, were present.
