Local MP and Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture, Dr Mahesh Sharma, paid a visit to this Sector 120 society in Noida to understand buyers’ woes.
Local MP and Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture, Dr Mahesh Sharma, today visited RG Residency, in Sector 120, Noida, to understand the problems of residents.
Residents said they had been living in the society for the past one and a half years, but registry had still not been done by the developer. Neither had the developer bothered to obtain completion and occupancy certificates from Noida Authority, they added.
Construction work on the project, which has nine towers and 1,540 flats, began in 2010. But 800 families have already moved in, and construction work is still not complete.
Mayank Sharma, a resident, told City Spidey that the developer had failed to provide even the basic amenities so far. “Basement parking, clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis and volleyball courts — nothing is ready, and there’s no place for the children to play,” he said.
“Now the builder has decided to increase maintenance charges as well," he added. "We had been paying Rs 1.5 per sq ft, but now the developer is demanding Rs 3 per sq ft! For what? We are opposed to this hike, as the builder has not given us even the basic amenities. This is just plain wrong!”
Sharma assured the residents that he would talk to the developer and work out something positive for the residents.
