Noida: Fumes from this chimney in Supertech Capetown are flying dangerously low

The residents of Supertech Capetown, a residential society in Noida Sector 74 are complaining about the height of a chimney installed by the developer in the premises. Since the chimney’s height is less than the height of the tower, the fumes easily flow into the windows of the upper floors, which is now causing breathing problems for the residents.

CMC2 and CV3 are the two towers in the society that are particularly affected.

Residents are now unanimously demanding for the chimney’s height to be increased.

Bhupendra Routela, a resident of Supertech Capetown has told City Spidey that an online petition has already been signed by over 200 people.

A complaint has also been made at the UP Government’s grievance redressal platform “Jan Sunwai”. Moreover, a written complaint has been sent to the Regional Manager, UP Pollution Control Board.

Routela informed that the officials of the developer have been apprised about the issue but they haven’t taken it seriously. “We also plan to approach the National Green Tribunal (/NGT),” he added.

An official from the Planning Department of Noida Authority has said that he will soon send his team to check the height of the chimney. The official agreed that the height of the chimney should be more than the tower height. “If the height is not increased the face of the chimney should be turned to the other side,” he stated.
