The Association of Neighbourhood Ladies Get-Together (ANHLGT) celebrated Gandhi Jayanti today at the Dwarka Sector 23 community hall. The celebration was dedicated to the significance of Mahatma Gandhi in today’s day and age and the three R’s – reduce, recycle and reuse.
On the occasion, seniors and children talked about waste management and green initiatives.
Community women also staged performances to show the importance of cleanliness.
President of ANHLGT, Cicily Kudiyan, said that a clean society must be a priority in these days and spoke about how ANHLGT has been conducting campaigns for a clean and green Dwarka since 2009.
She underlined how women in the sub-city have played a great role in promoting Dwarka’s green initiatives.
