Three armed assailants on Monday snatched a Maruti Brezza from its owner at gunpoint near Dwarka Expressway in Gurgaon.

The assailants, who were in a car, drove past the victim’s car near a hospital in Daulatabad around 10 pm and then forced the victim to stop his car. The owner of the car was travelling towards his village.

On the complaint of the car owner, Pawan Kumar, police registered a case against the three accused at Rajindra Park police station.

The car owner described the entire incident to the police. He said that after taking his car, the assailants also took him in the car and drove towards Dhankot village.

“After reaching Dhankot village, the accused snatched my mobile and threw it out of the car. Then, they drove me towards Manesar and then dropped me off the car at Sehrawan village on Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway,” the complainant told police.

The victim also apprised police that the accused refuelled the car at a petrol pump near Dhankot village.

The police informed that the case has been registered and the investigation is in the process. ASI Abdullah, who is leading the investigation, said that they have already accessed the CCTV footage at the petrol pump and they are making efforts to identify the accused.

A Maruti Brezza was also snatched a week ago on the Dwarka Expressway near Barha village. In that case, the owner, who was employed at a firm in Manesar, had got out of his car to relax by lighting up a cigarette when three men attacked him and snatched the car at gunpoint. The case was registered at Sector 10 A police station.
