Dirty water: Residents' delegation meets Noida Authority official, demand action

A delegation comprising members from different residents welfare associations (RWAs) on Monday met BM Pokhariyal, deputy general manager with Noida Authority, to discuss the issue regarding supply of dirty water to the residents living in Sector 11,19, 25, 27, 44 and 108.

Quality of water is so poor that forget about drinking, we won't even wash our face with it! Besides, it stinks which could seriously affect the health of the person who uses it,” they complained.

“The woes do not end here. Though clean water is being supplied for drinking purposes, it takes time to fill the tanks placed on the rooftops as the pressure is too low,” they added.

People who led the delegation- Suresh Krishnan, Rajeev Garg, Laxmi Narain, SS Rana, and RC Gupta- demanded the authority to take necessary steps immediately as three days have already passed. They added saying that they should be supplied Ganga water.

Responding to the members of the delegation, Pokhriyal said, “We have taken the matter into our concern. The issue will be resolved shortly. I have directed the officials concerned to initiate action promptly so that residents across these sectors feel relieved.”
