Supertech Capetown residents stage protest against the builder

Around 50 residents of Supertech Capetown, a high rise residential society in sector 74, Noida, on Saturday protested against the developer demanding solution to issues causing inconvenience to them.

They complained that falling of plaster from the walls of different buildings in the society is now regular affair. It may cause damage to residents and their belongings as well.

They also complained about rain water accumulation in the basements and narrow streets of the society. They said that waterlogging is a very big problem during monsoons. The developer is not giving them any solution to the problem.

They also raised their voice against insecurities. They said that there have been several instances when on-duty guards were found sleeping. They are not keeping a watch on visitors properly.

VK Gupta, a senior citizen cum resident of the society said, "We asked the builder every day to solve our issues. But the builder did not pay any heed to our problems. As a result we intensified the agitation."

The residents have blocked the main entry gate of the society. They said that as the builder was not listening to them, therefore they blocked the entry for all. Looking at their agitation, someone on behalf of the developer came forward and informed them that the company's director would come to meet them the next day.

“We called off our protest when we were informed about the meeting. We were told that Nitish Arora, one of the director of the reality company will solve all our problems,” said Gupta.
