After years of legal struggle for ownership right of their properties, homebuyers of Amrapali Sapphire, a high rise residential society in Sector 45, on Wednesday finally took a sigh of relief after officials from the Noida Authority and the Supreme Court-appointed court receiver began the process of verifying ownership documents.

R Venkataramani, a senior advocate and court receiver was accompanied by a team of Noida Industrial Development Authority officials, who reached the society at 11.00 am and began the verification process. 

As the Apartments Owner Association of Amrapali Sapphire was already aware of the process, they collected papers from as many 400 individual homebuyers in advance and handed over to them to the officials who were seated in society's clubhouse.

An ex-air force officer, Cdr Ravi Kant Srivastava, and others were looking a little relaxed as they moved a step ahead to get their properties registered with the registrar of stamp and duty, department of revenue, GB Nagar. He said, "We all are happy as we are moving towards accomplishing our goals after a legal battle of three years for getting ownership rights of my properties.'' 

He informed that verification of documents has begun in which homebuyers of phase-I of the society are coming forward to complete the process. He said that the society houses as many as 1033 homebuyers, out of which 400 home buyers submitted their papers for verification. Remaining others will present shortly after they complete the legal process.    

He said, "For the convenience of individual residents, the association is collecting the document from them. Residents, especially those who are out of the station, have been informed that the process is in progress and they can submit their papers for verification.'' 

The ongoing process has also made residents of phase-II happy, and they are now waiting for their turn. Manish Mishra, a resident of phase-II, Amrapali Sapphire said, "Tension is now released as the verification of documents for their society will begin shortly after it completes the phase-I. This has brought to a major relief for all of us.''
