Dwarka: SDMC not picking garbage for past 2-3 days, allege Sector 22 residents

Residents of Sector 22, Dwarka, on Thursday, alleged that the garbage from their apartments was not being picked by South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) personnel for around the past two-three days.

As proof of their claims, they even clicked and shared pictures of the overflowing dustbins. The General Secretary of Federation of CGHS (Cooperative Group Housing Societies), Sudha Sinha, who is a resident of Delhi Apartment, shared the photographs on the resident and authority’s WhatsApp groups, asking officials to take necessary actions.

Similar posts were made by Col KS Chaudhary, President of Garden Estate Society.

Meanwhile, Sinha highlighted the need for clear dustbins saying, "Garbage should be picked on a regular basis. If it is missed even for a day, it would create chaos, especially during monsoon. Therefore, I request the officials to clear the bins as soon as possible."

On the subject, SDMC officials claimed that garbage was being picked on a daily basis. But if something was left, it would be clear soon.
