The celebration culminated with an awareness session by an NGO, Goonj.
Members of Jalvayu Laughter Club on Wednesday celebrated “Daan Utsav” with 125 underprivileged children at the community centre of Sector 21, Noida. The children joined in a laughter session and enjoyed many laughing exercises.
The laughter session was followed by an entertainment session in which children of an NGO, Tarang, performed.
The programme was based on the lessons from the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
The chief guest for the occasion was chairman of the society, AVM Pradeep Kumar, who distributed gifts among the children during breakfast.
The celebration culminated with an awareness session by an NGO, Goonj. The NGO is involved in relief and rehabilitation work in nine states currently affected by floods.
A drive for collection of donations was held near main gate of JVCC, Sector 21, from 11 am to 2 pm. Flood relief material was collected from residents of Jalvayu Vihar and Noida. This drive would continue till October 8.
