Organising committees have been putting a lot of emphasis on environment conservation this year.

It is that time of the year when people love to do pandal-hopping across the city. This year, most of the Durga  puja pandals have been designed with a particular theme. Organising committees have been putting a lot of emphasis on environment conservation. 

Eco-friendly materials are being used at these pandals. The organising teams have decided to shun the usage of plastic as it is considered to be very dangerous for the environment. 

Apart from the theme, these organising teams have been involving people into various activities like dance competition, drawing competition, fancy dress competition and quiz competitions.

They are also bringing in popular singers and performers to entertain the people at the puja pandals.

Stage and TV artists to add to 'Colour of Bengal' on Durga Puja

 

Sector 26

Noida Bengali Cultural Association organised Kalibari Durga puja at the temple next to Apollo Hospitals. 

Sector 25

The Jal Vayu Vihar Sanskritk Kalyan Samiti (JVSKS) has set a theme of Vashishtha temple this year. They are celebrating puja for the last 27 years. 

Sector 50

The theme of Saptarshi Sangha Trust (SST) is Santiniketan. Santiniketan is the abode of Rabindranath Tagore. It is located about 158 km northwest of Kolkata.

Sector 61

The Balaka Bengali Cultural Association (BBCA) is celebrating Durga Puja in 11th year. There will be a lot of activities during the puja.

Sector 62

The Sarbojonin Puja Samiti (SPS) is celebrating Durga Puja in 18th year. ‘Plastic hatao, paribesh bachao’ is the theme of the puja this year.

Prantic, Indirapuram

The Durga puja is celebrated at Shipra Mall ground every year. The organisers have pasted many movie posters to celebrate the 100 years of Bengali cinema.

Shipra Riviera, Indirapuram

Sarbojonin Durga Puja & Sanskritik Samity is celebrating 21st successive years of puja at Indirapuram. There will be many activities for the children during the puja ceremony.
