After interrogating three thieves who were arrested by the Noida Police on October 16 from Sector 62, it has come to light that they went on burgling houses with a premeditated plan.
According to the local police, the three accused namely Rakesh, Ranjeet and Manoj burgled the houses situated near metro corridors and public parks.
The police said that cases of flat thefts were registered against them in several police stations of Delhi, Punjab, Gurugaon, Gujrat and Mumbai.
The police said that they targeted only those houses which were located beside metro rail corridors in cities. They zeroed in on those houses whose owners were out on holidays.
Newspapers lying outside flats gave them an idea that owners were out on holiday. They entered the flats by cutting barricades on boundary walls of the societies which were located besides public parks.
To divert the attention of on-duty security guard, one among them played slingshots by keeping his face on the opposite direction.
