Greater Noida: As November was declared as traffic month, the traffic police on Wednesday carried out an awareness session to sensitise students and teachers on traffic rules at DAV Public School in Greater Noida.
The students were demonstrated on the significance of the sign boards installed on the roads. The traffic police emphasied on importance of following traffic rules for one's own safety.
A manual was also distributed among the students by traffic officials who visited the school to raise awareness about the ongoing campaigning of road safety in Gautam Budh Nagar district.
Several students also spoke about the importance of road safety and what they understand by safety.
As per an official report disclosed recently, around 80 persons were killed because of the wrong side driving this year.
Administrative manager of the school said, “A session was arranged to create awarness among children as they are future. If they are taught to go by rules at this stage then they will follow it in future and also help in creating awarness among their parents.”
