On the last day of trade fair, the stalls were giving big discounts on their products.

New Delhi: 39th India International Trade Fair (IITF) concluded on Wednesday with a large number of visitors turning out on the last day of the 14-day long fair. However, sudden drizzle made things little tough for visitors as they had to find a place to hide.

All the online tickets were sold until 10 am in the morning. Also, the fact that many visitors were unlucky to get tickets and they had to miss this year's fair.  

CitySpidey observed that many disappointed people returned to their homes after they could not arrange tickets for themselves. 

On the last day of the trade fair, the stalls were giving huge discounts on their products. The shopkeepers are making maximum efforts to sell all the products piled in the stalls.

Huge discounts were seen on winter clothes and footwear. A sale of 50 per cent was seen in winter clothes. On the other hand, shoes were sold on a 40-60 per cent discount.

While the Trade Fair commenced on November 14 in the presence of Union minister Nitin Gadkari, it concluded with an awards ceremony in the presence of Union minister Piyush Goyal.

The minister while wishing well for next year's fair said, “The theme of IITF 2020 would be 'Ease of Living.' The ITPO should have meaningful interaction with all the stakeholders to present India's success story.” 

Partner country for 39th edition of fair - Afganistan, in focus country South Korea and focussed states Bihar and Jharkhand were awarded gold medals for making a great endeavour in the event.

Addressing the concluding gathering, LC Goyal, Chief Managing Director of India Trade Promotional Organisation (ITPO) expressed his gratitude to all the agencies such as Delhi Police, Delhi traffic police, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation ( DMRC) and other stakeholders for making the event a success.
