New Delhi: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's (DMRC) phase IV project kicked off on Monday with the construction work at Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg corridor after being delayed for more than three years.
The 28.9-km long corridor is among the three corridors proposed to be built under Phase IV. The other two lines will be Aerocity-Tughlaqbad and Maujpur-Majlis Park.
The construction work was started at Haiderpur Badli Mor in the presence of DMRC's Managing Director Mangu Singh.
The Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg corridor is an extension of Magenta Line and will have total of 22 stations.
Phase IV will cover a total distance of 61.67 km with 45 stations out of which 17 will be elevated.
