Greater Noida: In an interesting case, the cops from Phase-2 police station nabbed three men for conspiring and looting Rs 37.28 lakh on Friday.

On January 7, a case of loot was registered at Phase-2 police station by a Ghaziabad-based private firm. In the complaint, it was mentioned that their employee Hemprakash was looted by two bike-borne men near NSEZ Gandey Naale in Sector 88, Noida.

However, the complainant also shared his suspicion on the employee for his involvement in loot. Following which, the police had alerted his informers to keep a vigil on the activities of Hemprakash.

Later, based on a tip-off that the suspect had booked a private car to go out of town, police arrested Hemprakash from Sector 82. During interrogation, he revealed that the loot was planned by him and his acquaintances.

Hemprakash said that he along with his brother-in-law Amit and cousin Mahesh planned the loot.

They were planning to leave the city and go back to their native place in Chhattisgarh.

The police then arrested the other two accused and recovered Rs 37.28 lakh along with two mobile phones.

A case under section 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property) and 120 B (whoever is a party to a criminal conspiracy to commit an offence punishable with death) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the three accused.
