Commissioner system: CONRWA writes to Yogi with list of demands

Noida: With the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led UP Government giving a green signal to the introduction of Police Commissioner System in the capital, Lucknow, and the upscale city of the state, Noida, the resident body has started campaigning for its early implementation.

Considering its advantages in maintaining law and order of Noida and Greater Noida, Confederation NCR Residents Welfare Association (CONRWA), the umbrella resident body of Delhi/NCR, on Saturday wrote to the chief minister demanding enforcement of the system without delay.

In a one-page letter addressing Chief Minister Yogi, the confederation conveyed its gratitude for selected sister cities of Noida and Greater Noida for the Police Commissioner system.

The letter pointed out that these cities are part of the National Capital Region, hence the need for stronger the policing. It was necessary to introduce such a strong policing system, which would not only help establish law and order but also facilitate industrial growth in an environment free from fear.

P S Jain, President of CONRWA, said in addition to the Commissioner System, the government should increase police stations proportionate to the population density of these two cities.

"Deployment of police personal should also be made as per the police manual, which is currently lacking,'' he observed.

''A quality digital control room should also be set up for having citizens better access of service. This would result in industrial growth and development of these cities in a better way,'' he added.
