Noida: Allotment of space to over a hundred vendors may be cancelled from tomorrow onwards, an official of Noida Industrial Development Authority said. The vendors were allotted the space at the vending zones by the authority.
The officer said that the authority had allotted space to a total of 2,472 vendors at different vending zones identified by it in the recent past. Of these, around 172 vendors failed to deposit the fees while the remaining 2,300 vendors have deposited their fees for the space.
He said that the deadline for making the payment was February 5, 2020. Allotment of those who failed to pay up the fees would be cancelled.
He said at the instructions of Ritu Maheshwari, chief executive officer of the Noida Authority, a deadline for the payment of fees was fixed.
''An ultimatum was issued to those who have not paid their fees to pay up, or lose the allotment,” he said.
A few months ago, the authority had devised a policy for the vendors. It had invited applications from interested vendors and conducted a draw of lots for fair allocation of space in different vending zones. The authority also earmarked space for vendors at vending zones.
