New Delhi: The citizens of Delhi woke up to a very pleasant weather on Sunday morning due to overnight rains and high velocity winds. Delhi received a rainfall of 33.6 mm till 5.30 am.
The temperature dropped to 27 degrees Celsius. It has given a much-needed respite to people as temperatures were hovering quite close to the 40 degrees Celsius mark.
The good news is that the current weather condition is expected to continue in the next 3-4 days. The maximum temperature is expected to be 34 degrees Celsius in the coming week.
As per the India meteorological department (IMD), Delhi will have a good and normal monsoon with moderate rainfall. Monsoon reached Delhi on June 25.
As per the IMD Rainfall measurement scale, rainfall below 15mm is considered light, while between 15 to 64.5 mm is considered as moderate rain. If the rainfall mark crosses the 64.5mm level, the rain is considered as heavy and dangerous.
