New Delhi: Delhi recorded 707 coronavirus cases taking the tally to 1,46,134 on Monday. The new cases dropped below 1,000 mark after five days. With 20 fatalities, the death toll reached 4,131 in the last 24 hours.

Recoveries exceeded the new cases after a few days. With the recovery of 1,070 patients in the last 24 hours, the total number of recovered patients has reached 1,31,657 in the national capital.

The active cases increased on a daily basis in the last five days. However, on Monday, the active cases declined by 383. Delhi has now 10,346 active cases. 

The positivity rate was 5.7 per cent, while the recovery rate crossed 90 per cent.

A total of 12,323 tests were conducted in the national capital. Out of that, 9,012 were rapid antigen tests and 3,311 were RTPCR, CBNAAT and True NAAT tests.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Over 90% of Corona patients in Delhi have now recovered. Only 7% cases are active now. Slowly and steadily, the people of Delhi are defeating Corona. #DelhiModel (sic).”
