652 new coronavirus cases in Delhi; recovery rate crosses 90 pc
New Delhi: Delhi on Sunday reported significant improvement in coronavirus situation with drop in new cases, total active cases and increase in daily recoveries.
In the last 24 hours, Delhi recorded 652 new cases taking the tally to 1,52,580. The new cases were lowest since July 27 when 613 new cases were reported. With 8 fatalities, the death toll reached 4,196. It was the second time in a week when fatalities dropped below 10.
On the other hand, recoveries exceeded the new cases by a great margin. 1,310 patients recovered from the deadly disease in the last 24 hours.
A total of 1,37,561 patients have recovered in the national capital so far. Recovery rate has now gone past 90 per cent.
The active cases declined by 666 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 10,823 active cases. Active cases dropped for the first time since August 10.
Despite rise in new cases over the past one week, Delhi has thrown relatively better figures as compared to the last month. Now, Delhi has an average of 1,022 daily new cases in the last 7 days.
