New Delhi: Delhi reported 787 fresh cases of novel coronavirus taking the tally to 1,53,367 on Monday. The death toll increased to 4,214 with 18 more fatalities in the last 24 hours.
740 patients recovered in the national capital on Monday. A total of 1,38,301 patients have recovered so far. The recovery rate is 90.17 per cent.
The active cases increase by 29 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 10,852 active cases.
A total of 14,988 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The number of tests has gone down in August as compared to July. The government said that it has happened due to lesser infections in the national capital.
Among states, Delhi is now at sixth position behind Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh.
