New Delhi: Delhi on Thursday crossed the mark of three lakh Covid-19 cases, as 2,726 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally to 3,00,833. The number of new cases reported came out of 53,322 tests conducted on the previous day.

Of the total 53,322 tests conducted, 10,125 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 43,197 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate dropped to 5.11 per cent from 5.57 per cent on the previous day. 

37 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. The death toll has now reached 5,653. 35 deaths were reported on Wednesday, 39 on Tuesday, 32 on Monday, 38 on Sunday, 34 on Saturday, 37 on Friday, and 40 on Thursday.

On the other hand, 2,643 patients recovered from the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery figure to 2,72,948 in the national capital. The recovery rate increased to 90.73 per cent from 90.67 per cent on the previous day.

The number of active cases rose to 22,232 from Wednesday’s 22,186. The number of people in home isolation increased to 12,890 from 12,691 on Wednesday. Out of the 15,833 beds in Covid hospitals, 10,563 beds were lying vacant.
