Golf Avenue-I: Water crisis persists on fourth day; residents protest again

Noida: The residents of Golf Avenue-I, a highrise society in Sector 75, Noida, continued their protest against the water supply issue on Sunday. They have been facing a shortage of water in the last four days.

Agitated residents gathered below the residential tower and raised voice against the disrupted service, demanding resumption of service.

They said that this is the fourth consecutive day when there is no water supply at the flats. It forced them to carry water buckets from the ground floor to meet the daily needs.

According to the residents, water taps ran dry shortly after all borewell pumps went out of order last week. The pumps were not taking a load of water supply to all the floors in the society.

They complained that there are as many as 600 families living in the society. They are paying maintenance and other expenses regularly to the developer. Despite making regular payment for availing basic services, they are facing the issue of water shortage.

Navin Mishra, a resident of the society said, “Residents have been ordering water bottles from vendors as we are going through water shortage issues from the past four days.”

“We have urged the developer to find a permanent solution to the problem, but they are not taking it seriously, forcing them to stage protest against the issues,” he added.
