UP govt caps maximum number of participants at parties, functions

New Delhi: Amid rising concerns over spread of coronavirus, the Uttar Pradesh government has allowed parties and functions with limited number participants. Now, only 100 persons are allowed to gather while the function is in progress.

It has come as a big relief to those people who are holding functions during the challenging times. They may now invite a maximum of 100 people at their event.

To ensure that the government instructions are followed, Suhas LY, the district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar on Saturday directed all officials concerned to keep a watch on social gatherings, ensuring that there is not more than 100 persons at parties and functions.

He also appealed to the residents that considering the serious ongoing pandemic, they should not invite more than 100 people for party or function whether it is an indoor or outdoor activity.

The district administration has told officials that they would also sensitise residents of their respective areas about the government’s instructions for holding a safe party and function.
