Noida: The Noida Industrial Development Authority often preaches about saving each drop of water. But a sheer negligence in water management has come to light. Despite the complaints to the authority, no one has come to check the wastage of Ganga water at Sethi Max Royal, a highrise in Sector 76, Noida.
Between all this, gallons of potable Ganga water have gone down the drain. Residents complained that the authority’s officials have not come to repair a broken pipeline at the society. Since Thursday, water has continuously been flooding into the drain at the society.
Govind Sharma, a vigilant resident took the issue seriously and lodged a complaint with the authority. He registered complaints through social media. On his Twitter handle, he wrote that the potable Ganga water is flowing uselessly for the last two days. He sought the attention of the authority while bringing to light the wastage of precious drinking water.
He tagged the complaint with official Twitter handles of the Noida Industrial Development Authority seeking an immediate action for mending the broken pipelines so that water can be saved.
Ritu Maheshwari, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the authority was also tagged as she is known for taking prompt action for solving the problems. But an action is still awaited.
