Greater Noida: Residents of Radicon Vedantam, a residential society in Sector 16, Greater Noida West on Sunday protested to raise issues of pending registry of flats and lack of basic facilities inside premises. The protest was held with the Noida Estate Flat Owners Main Association (NEFOMA).
President of NEFOMA, Annu Khan led the protest. He said, “In the society, most of the buyers had booked flats in 2010 and 2011. The builder started giving possession in 2018 and he has given possession of about 450 flats so far.”
Continuing further, he said, “Initially, only 70 registries were done. Rest are still waiting for the registry of their flats. The residents are upset and also deprived of the ownership of the flat.”
AK Sharma, a resident from the society shared, “We are yet to get basic facilities. There is no facility like gym, club, swing bridge, fire safety, intercom etc. We feel cheated after continuously paying maintenance charges at an incomplete society.”
Nishu Dutt Sharma, another resident said, “The society is filled with water everywhere. The basement is filled with water and there is dampness at many places. We also face issues with the lifts. There is a lot of anger among residents.”
Last week, NEFOMA members met Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) Chairman Rajive Kumar and Authority's CEO Narendra Bhooshan to talk about pending registration in most of the societies of Greater Noida West. They requested a way out so that registries can be done at the earliest.
