Just like every year, there are some under and overwhelming looks the Met Gala serves us and here we are to discuss which celebrities understood the assignment and delivered on point!
Billie Eilish
Billie Eilish entered in a nude-coloured princess dress designed by Oscar de la Renta, a Dominican American fashion designer. Her gown reminded us of classic Hollywood- a complete full skirt, train, and shoulder wrap that reminds us of Marilyn. She combined the dazzling outfit with Cartier gems and Jimmy Choo stage shoes. Even her hairstyle was inspired by Marlyn Monroe.
Timothée Chalamet
He walked down the red carpet in a satin white tuxedo with a cropped jacket and loose trousers paired with Converse All-Stars. The A-list star served all comfortable, none of the fuss.
Haider Ackermann has designed his costume. His attire was all about ‘Comfort over Fashion’.
Kendall Jenner
She was the last one to enter the Met gala 2021, but it was worth the wait. The model left everyone in awe with her stunning Givenchy. Her custom-made look by Matthew M.Williams turned all eyes to her. Her sheer dress was made from fantasy tulle, weaved with precious stones, gem blossoms, and gem periphery, combined with weaved gloves, a silk tulle bustier and beige calfskin shoes. Inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s dress in ‘My Fair Lady’.
Iman
Iman was looking like an angel on the earth. Her outfit was extraordinary. Dolce & Gabbana x Harris Reed designed her breathtaking dress. It consisted of a brocade jumpsuit wrapped under a feathered overskirt and matching headgear. Her entire look was glowing yet powerful.
Gigi Hadid
Hadid got the allure looks on her new red locks. A strapless, fitted silk white segment outfit with a topsy-turvy bodice layered over a dark bodice, all done with dark cowhide gloves, is rich in its straightforwardness. Hadid's high horse, barrette, and precious stone neckband finished the look. Classic Gigi!
Lili Reinhart
Lili rocked the red carpet with the perfect flower gown. She slayed in a pink semi-sheer dress featuring the 'flowers of ALL 50 states' designed by Christian Siriano. Lili's designer dress consisted of a chic mini silhouette with a long asymmetrical train that rolled around her waist. Her hairstyle and silver heels perfectly matched her entire look.
Barbie Ferreira
Elation star Barbie Ferreira wore an off-shoulder, pearl-nitty gritty outfit by Johnathon Simkhai. Her look was a tribute to the old Hollywood glitz style and the flappers from the 1920s. Her cosmetics were highlighted at various times, with her meagre eyebrows and rosy cheeks suggestive of past cosmetics styles. At the same time, her intense eyeshadow and naked lip took on the present patterns.
